A facilitator for women ready to reclaim themselves.
Â
I am a mother, partner, facilitator, and guide shaped by a life that has required resilience, adaptation, and deep listening to what truly matters. I’m married to a pilot whose career brings long absences and repeated stretches of solo parenting. I’m also a full-time working mother to a child with unique needs (but hey, who doesn't?). This experience profoundly shaped my understanding of capacity, compassion, and the invisible labor women carry.
My journey includes living on a remote island in Alaska, where I experienced a traumatic preterm birth far from family and support systems. That season stripped life down to essentials. It required me to bury my own needs to protect a fragile life, and it took more than a decade for me to recognize and reclaim what had been buried to rebuild from the inside out.
But the deeper truth is this: becoming a mother profoundly changes us. It decenters our identity. We become responsible for life, and what could be more important than that? But the consequence is often our own identity, lost or disregarded as we prioritize the beings in our care. Rediscovering who we are again takes intention. It takes choice.
Over time, I’ve come to understand that my life is only as peaceful as the attention and care I give to myself. The love, patience, and steadiness I offer others are directly connected to what I’m willing to pour back into my own body, spirit, and inner world. It sounds simple, even cliché — but it is incredibly easy to disappear inside the demands of work, partnership, parenting, and the daily logistics that keep life running.
This retreat was born from that realization. It is a deliberate pause. A break from constant output. A space for women to step away from what they carry and intentionally rebuild a relationship with themselves — because saying “I matter” is not selfish. It is foundational.
Born and raised in Northern California’s wine country, returning to this land feels like a homecoming, geographically and spiritually. Today, I work as a change management and strategy consultant, helping organizations navigate complex transformation. This retreat is where my personal truth and professional wisdom meet: a space for strong, capable women who are ready to come home to themselves.
With love,
Alicia Corey
